About The Position

The Part Time Sales Associate supports store sales performance, delivers an exceptional customer experience, and carries out day-to-day store operations. The role follows customer engagement strategies and maintains merchandising standards that contribute to a positive in-store experience. Sales Associates are expected to meet personal sales and loyalty enrollment goals, provide product information and recommendations, and support store operations, safety, and loss prevention. The position requires at least 12 hours of availability per week, including one weekend day, and a flexible schedule to meet business needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must be available to work at least 12 hours per week, including one weekend day; additional availability is a plus.
Must be punctual for scheduled shifts and able to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs.
Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
Ability to operate store office equipment and technology, including cash registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
Ability to stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts.
Ability to lift or maneuver 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, and to push or pull full merchandise racks.
Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, crouch, walk, and perform manual tasks such as assembling displays and rearranging store layouts.
Ability to use fine hand manipulation and grasp to sort, hang, fold, and organize clothing.
Vision sufficient to read labels accurately and complete detail-oriented tasks.

Responsibilities

Uphold retail and customer-service standards to provide an in-store experience aligned with company standards.
Engage customers, learn their interests and needs, assist them in fitting rooms, and recommend suitable products through suggestive selling.
Promote the rewards program and achieve weekly loyalty sign-up goals.
Learn about new products and trends and provide information and advice on product performance, features, and specifications.
Achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
Maintain visual merchandising standards and keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Assist with assigned opening and closing procedures, process transactions accurately, handle cash, and maintain point-of-sale integrity.
Follow company and store policies, processes, and procedures.
Respond promptly to customer or employee injuries and report them immediately to the manager on duty.
Participate in Loss Prevention Audits and follow loss prevention policies to minimize store shrink.
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule that meets business needs.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
Use store technology and equipment, including cash registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
Move throughout the store to assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and recover the store; restock merchandise and push or pull full merchandise racks.
Lift and carry merchandise, including regularly maneuvering or lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Reach, stretch, bend, stoop, crouch, and use fine hand manipulation to retrieve and organize merchandise, maintain cleanliness, and assemble displays or rearrange store layouts.
Read labels accurately and perform tasks requiring attention to detail.
