About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide an engaging shoe-store experience by welcoming customers, learning about current trends, and helping shoppers find styles that meet their needs. You contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture and help customers feel connected to the store, its brands, and the company.

You support day-to-day retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while keeping the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You help drive sales by reviewing store performance, working toward goals, communicating effectively with teammates, and delivering attentive customer service. You follow company policies, welcome feedback, and may assist with teammate training and development as needed.

This is a part-time position. Overtime may be required to meet business needs. The role requires a flexible schedule that may include holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours, as well as frequent movement and lifting in the store environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily retail tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop.
• Provide attentive customer engagement and help customers find suitable styles and brands.
• Stay informed about trends and share product knowledge with customers.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and pursue professional development.
• Promote an inclusive, positive work environment and support teammates, including assisting with training and development when needed.
