About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide an engaging shoe-store experience by creating a welcoming environment, building customer loyalty, staying informed about trends, and helping customers find styles that suit their needs. You contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture and support individual and team success.

You help keep store operations running smoothly by completing pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory tasks. You maintain a clean, organized, shoppable store; engage customers and recommend products; review store performance and work toward sales goals; communicate effectively with teammates; follow company policies and procedures; and assist with training and development when needed. Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop in accordance with company standards.
• Engage customers and provide attentive service, product knowledge, and shoe recommendations.
• Review store performance and work with purpose toward sales goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and actively listen to teammates.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and pursue professional development.
• Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and support teammates.
• Assist with training and development when needed.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed to meet business needs.
