About The Position

Famous Footwear Sales Associates create a welcoming store environment and provide an engaging, attentive customer experience. They help customers find shoes that fit their needs, stay informed about trends and brands, and contribute to customer loyalty and store performance. The role also supports daily store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized, shoppable store. Associates work collaboratively, uphold company policies, communicate with teammates, and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed to meet business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, attentive customer service and help customers find appropriate styles and sizes.
• Stay informed about footwear trends and brands and share relevant knowledge with customers.
• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop.
• Contribute to customer engagement and a positive in-store culture.
• Review store performance and work toward sales goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and support professional development.
• Promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and support teammates.
• Assist with training and development when needed.
