About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide a welcoming, engaging shoe-store experience and help customers find styles and brands that meet their needs. You contribute to a positive in-store culture, stay informed about trends, share product knowledge, and support customer loyalty. You work collaboratively with the store team and help customers leave with the right fit and the Famous Feeling.

The role supports daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized, shoppable store. You help drive sales by reviewing store performance, pursuing goals, communicating clearly with teammates, and delivering attentive customer service. You follow company policies, seek feedback, support an inclusive and respectful environment, and assist with teammate training and development as needed. Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

• Assist with training and development of teammates when needed.
