About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you help create a welcoming store environment and provide a positive shoe-shopping experience for every customer. You share knowledge of trends, recommend shoes and brands, and help customers find styles that meet their needs and fit well. You work collaboratively with the store team, contribute to a respectful and inclusive culture, and support customer loyalty to the store, its brands, and the company.

The role also supports daily store operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory. You help keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop, follow company policies and procedures, and contribute to store sales goals through attentive customer service and clear communication. You may assist with teammate training and development as needed. Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

• Promote an inclusive, respectful, positive, and supportive work environment.
• Assist teammates with training and development when needed.
• Work overtime when required to meet business needs.
