About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you create a welcoming store environment and deliver engaging customer experiences. You help customers find shoes and styles that suit their needs, stay informed about trends, and build customer loyalty while contributing to individual and team successes.

The role supports daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, and helps keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. Sales Associates uphold company policies and culture, communicate with teammates, support training and development as needed, and work toward store sales goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

• Stay informed about trends and share product knowledge with customers.
• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop according to company standards.
• Review store performance and contribute to sales goals with purpose and urgency.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and work on professional development.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful, positive work environment and support teammates.
• Assist with training and development of teammates when needed.
