About The Position
The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role includes daily store functions such as product merchandising, sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate helps customers select suitable merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, maintains an orderly sales environment, and helps prevent theft. The position requires communicating effectively, working in a fast-paced retail setting, and standing for extended periods. Associates may need to work extended hours during critical project phases.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide customer service, maintain accurate inventory control, transport merchandise, and maintain the store.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain a positive attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
- Help prevent employee and customer theft.
- Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
