About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the primary aspects of the position. The associate helps customers select appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, and helps keep the sales floor organized. The position requires effective communication, basic fashion and trend knowledge, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service, support accurate inventory control, transport merchandise, and maintain the store.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience in retail or customer service.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Display basic fashion and trend knowledge and meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain a positive attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
