About The Position

Talbots is hiring a part-time Sales Associate at its Westfield Annapolis store. The associate provides an exceptional customer experience, promotes merchandise, builds relationships with customers, and supports store business and operations. The role involves helping customers select outfits using fashion and product knowledge, serving multiple customers at once, meeting sales and service metrics, and completing assigned operational projects. The position requires availability for 15 to 20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs.

Comfort with climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods.
Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
Availability for 15 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
Assist the management team in building store business.
Use service enhancers, including Concierge, to build strong relationships.
Serve multiple customers at a time, multitask, and handle projects simultaneously.
Stay aware of fashion trends and learn about new arrivals, including product fit, color, and style.
Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and recommend items suited to customers’ needs.
Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize performance.
Achieve sales and service metrics, including clientelling and outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.
