About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide a welcoming, engaging shoe-shopping experience and help build customer loyalty to the store, its brands, and the company. You stay informed about trends, share product knowledge, and help customers find styles that meet their needs and fit well.

You support daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while keeping the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture, communicate effectively, uphold company policies, and support teammates’ training and development when needed. You also review store performance and work toward sales goals.

This part-time position may require overtime to meet business needs. The role requires a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours, as well as extended periods of mobility on the sales floor and frequent physical activity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

• Review store performance and work toward sales goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and work on professional development.
• Support teammates and assist with training and development when needed.
