About The Position

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor creates a memorable shopping experience by advising customers on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nail products. Sally Beauty provides product knowledge and training; the associate uses their passion and personality to help customers with their beauty needs. The role involves building customer relationships, recommending products, sharing information about promotions, maintaining store displays and the store environment, supporting loyalty-program enrollment, completing transactions, and communicating inventory issues. Working schedules and hours vary to suit different needs and business requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to read and explain product labels.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• Ability to perform duties involving long periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, and lifting moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values.
• Apply product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Follow direction and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
