About The Position

The Design Consultant role is central to California Closets’ design brand experience and customer relationships. The consultant listens to customers’ needs and collaborates with them to create personalized, whole-home design solutions while providing exceptional service. The role involves measuring, designing, selling, and delivering custom solutions, supported by a 12-week paid training program. This is a full-time position of 40 or more hours per week, and consultants must work at least one showroom shift per month. The training class is scheduled to begin in early January.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 and experience using laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices.
• Creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and a sense of craftsmanship.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Interior design education, direct industry experience, and/or in-home sales experience.
• Previous experience with Salesforce, CAD, or design software.

Responsibilities

• Commute to customers’ homes and design custom storage solutions using the company’s proprietary CAD software.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets by pursuing referrals and repeat business.
• Follow up continuously with customers and collaborate with the installation team to ensure jobs are completed.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions.
• Manage a portfolio of projects and clients with varying levels of complexity in a dynamic environment.
