About The Position

HELP USA is seeking a Safety Monitor Supervisor to oversee Safety Monitors at the assigned facility. Safety Monitors are often the first point of contact for residents entering the facility. They help maintain residents’ safety and create a welcoming environment through alert, vigilant, and courteous service. The role includes supervising staff, supporting training, ensuring staffing coverage, documenting staff issues, and preparing administrative reports. The position is with the Crotona program at 785 Crotona Park North, Bronx, NY 10460.

Requirements

• New York State Security Guard License required.
• FDNY F-80 required within 60 days from date of hire.
• FDNY F-02 required within 30 days from date of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience and skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge, experience, or capacity to work with homeless families or individuals and/or disadvantaged populations.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide night and weekend coverage as needed.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft applications.

Nice To Haves

• Good writing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Safety Monitors on duty to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing training sessions for Safety Monitor staff.
• Ensure minimum daily staff coverage.
• Document individual staff problems as necessary.
• Prepare and submit required administrative reports on time, including Incident Reports and Electronic Patrol Reports.
