About The Position
HELP USA is seeking a Safety Monitor for its Ascend program in the Bronx, New York, to help ensure a safe and secure environment at an assigned facility. Safety Monitors are often the first point of contact for residents entering a facility. They help protect residents while making them feel welcome and setting a positive tone for their stay. The role requires alertness, vigilance, and courtesy.
Requirements
- New York State security guard license.
- FDNY F-02 certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience and skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience, or capacity to work with homeless families or individuals and/or disadvantaged populations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide night and weekend coverage as needed.
Responsibilities
- Patrol facility grounds.
- Ensure residents and guests are properly signed in.
- Escort visitors to appropriate destinations.
- Conduct unit inspections.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Prepare incident reports when necessary.
- Help ensure residents' safety and make residents feel welcome.
