About The Position

HELP USA is seeking a Safety Monitor for its Ascend program in the Bronx, New York, to help ensure a safe and secure environment at an assigned facility. Safety Monitors are often the first point of contact for residents entering a facility. They help protect residents while making them feel welcome and setting a positive tone for their stay. The role requires alertness, vigilance, and courtesy.

Requirements

New York State security guard license.
FDNY F-02 certification.
High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience and skills.
Demonstrated knowledge, experience, or capacity to work with homeless families or individuals and/or disadvantaged populations.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide night and weekend coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

Patrol facility grounds.
Ensure residents and guests are properly signed in.
Escort visitors to appropriate destinations.
Conduct unit inspections.
Maintain accurate documentation.
Prepare incident reports when necessary.
Help maintain a safe and secure facility and create a welcoming environment for residents.
