About The Position

As an Assistant Safety Monitor Supervisor with HELP USA, you will oversee Safety Monitors on a shift at the assigned Haven location in Manhattan, NY. The Safety Team is often the first point of contact for residents entering the facility. The team helps ensure residents’ safety, welcomes residents, and sets the tone for their stay. The role requires alertness, vigilance, and courteous interactions with residents. The schedule is a consistent 40 hours per week at the same location, with the same two consecutive days off each week.

Requirements

• New York State Security Guard License.
• Obtain FDNY F-02 within 30 days from date of hire.

Nice To Haves

• FDNY F-80 Fire Coordinator/Fire Guard certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience and skills.
• Experience or ability to work with people experiencing homelessness.
• Prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Safety Monitors on duty to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing training sessions for Safety Monitor staff.
• Document individual staff problems as necessary.
• Prepare and submit required administrative reports on time, including Incident Reports and Electronic Patrol Reports.
• Patrol facility grounds.
• Ensure residents and guests are properly signed in.
• Escort visitors to appropriate destinations.
• Conduct unit inspections.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare incident reports when necessary.
