RV Service Advisor
About The Position
The RV Service Advisor provides customer service throughout the vehicle service process, from receiving a vehicle through its release. The role helps customers understand needed service and repairs, translates reported problems into actionable work orders for technicians, and keeps customers informed about service progress. The advisor also supports repeat and referral business, helps maintain customer satisfaction and service quality, and develops personal goals, an annual operating budget, and a marketing plan to promote new business. The position includes customer transportation and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Basic knowledge of computer programs, including word processing and database tools.
- High school diploma or higher education.
- Basic mathematics skills to prepare and process bills and customer payments.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
- Driven personality, eagerness to improve, and ability to work within and support internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service from vehicle receipt through release.
- Assist customers with servicing and repairing vehicles and explain each service needed.
- Translate customer-reported problems into actionable work orders for technicians.
- Explain the service being performed and keep customers informed and updated throughout the process.
- Stay up to date on new products, features, and accessories, and attend product training as required.
- Maintain a service customer follow-up system that supports repeat and referral business and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure automotive work provided to customers meets company quality standards.
- Set personal goals and objectives, including an annual operating budget and a marketing plan to promote new business.
- Maintain a high Customer Service Index (CSI) rating by handling customer complaints immediately and appropriately.
- Provide customer transportation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
