About The Position

Johnson Controls is hiring a Route Service & Sales Representative to service fire protection equipment and support shop and delivery operations. The role involves scheduled servicing, repair, and recharging of hand portable fire extinguishers, wheeled units, and kitchen suppression cylinders, as well as hydrostatic testing and repair of fire hoses. The representative also assists on-road technicians, handles customer and supplier deliveries and pickups when required, prepares orders for shipping, receives and stocks inventory, maintains shop cleanliness, and repairs service equipment as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

• Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to adhere to and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Self-starter who can work with little to no supervision.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, repair, and recharging of hand portable fire extinguishers, wheeled units, and kitchen suppression cylinders.
• Perform hydrostatic testing and repair of fire hoses.
• Assist on-road technicians with a variety of required work.
• Perform deliveries and pickups at customer locations and suppliers where required.
• Pick orders to prepare them for shipping.
• Receive stock and put it away in designated areas.
• Maintain general cleanliness throughout the shop and work area.
• Repair service equipment where required.
