Rooms Internship - Loews Hotels Universal Orlando
About The Position
The Loews Hotels & Co Rooms Division internship immerses students in the Rooms Division and the company’s culture of creating enriching guest experiences. Interns gain exposure to front-of-house and heart-of-the-house operations, including guest service, housekeeping, and related departments. The program includes a learning plan, mentoring by Loews leaders, weekly reflections, and value-added experiences. Depending on student experience and program requirements, interns may also gain insight into management and leadership tasks. Internships are offered at select properties during designated semesters in 2026 and 2027, including multiple Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando. Competitive internship pay is offered; location-specific details are discussed with Talent Acquisition.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited, US-based college or university and in good academic standing.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
- Desire and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional guest service skills.
- Effective management, leadership, and organizational skills, with attention to detail, quality, and consistency.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes some weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Gain experience with Front Desk, Concierge, VIP Services, and Groups.
- Learn about Housekeeping and Laundry, Engineering, Recreation, and systems, standards, and reports used within the Rooms Division.
- Complete weekly reflections to capture learning and make the most of the mentoring experience.
- Participate in learning plans covering guest service standards, Housekeeping operations, shift opening and closing procedures, Opera, upselling, group standards, and management meetings.
- Depending on experience and program requirements, gain exposure to supervisory duties, management reports, and leadership tasks.
- Participate in value-added experiences focused on Team Member Engagement, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Learning & Development.
