About The Position

ProHealth Care Food Services is hiring a part-time Room Service Tray Runner at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. The position is scheduled for 56 hours every two weeks (0.70 FTE). Shift start times vary from 5:00 a.m. to 6:45 a.m., and end times vary from 1:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. Every other weekend and holiday rotation are required. The role serves customers in a friendly, courteous, and effective manner; prepares and assembles food according to customer requests and established procedures; and supports a range of retail food-service duties. The Tray Runner may work in any of the four retail-operation positions, including operating the register, short-order cooking, and stocking and rotating food products. The position requires working independently with minimal direction while maintaining cleanliness, food quality, and safety.

Requirements

One year of relevant experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation.
Ability to work scheduled shifts with varying start and end times.
Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and established food-service procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform duties necessary to serve food.
Complete tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality in food production and serving areas.
Maintain equipment in an acceptable and sanitary condition.
Operate the register and handle receipts and cash according to department procedures.
Cook and assemble food items according to established procedures and customer requests.
Follow ServSafe and HACCP guidelines in food production areas.
Store, date, and label leftover food according to established procedures.
Rotate food items to maintain freshness and safety while minimizing food waste.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report unsafe conditions involving food, property, or equipment.
Complete daily food requisitions for 725 Grille.
Troubleshoot complaints in conjunction with leads, supervisors, and managers.
Serve customers in a friendly, courteous, and effective manner.
Work flexibly across the four positions within the retail operation, with the knowledge needed to perform those duties.
Stock and rotate food products.
Work independently with minimal direction.
