About The Position

The Room Service Ambassador presents the SFHS Room Service Program to patients, teaches them how to use the meal-ordering system, assesses whether they can use it, and helps them place orders as needed. The role briefly reviews diet basics related to each patient’s personalized menu and stays in constant communication with call center representatives. The ambassador delivers and retrieves room service trays, completes applicable reports, conducts patient intake studies when necessary, and resolves issues that could affect meal delivery. The role also serves as a liaison between patients and other departments regarding room service. This position is based in Nutrition & Food Services, Patient Meals, at the South Campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is identified as safety sensitive under Oklahoma law.

Requirements

Valid Oklahoma Food Handler's permit.
Must have previous hospitality experience or prior experience in a hospital diet office setting.
Must possess reasoning, organizational, and time-management skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with others.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least one year of experience in the hospitality industry or a hospital dietary office setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Present the SFHS Room Service Program to patients.
Instruct patients on the Room Service meal-ordering system and assess their ability to use it.
Assist patients with placing meal orders as needed.
Briefly review diet basics related to patients’ personalized menus.
Communicate constantly with call center representatives.
Deliver and retrieve room service trays.
Complete appropriate Room Service reports.
Conduct patient intake studies as necessary.
Resolve issues that may affect delivery of patient meals.
Act as a liaison between patients and other departments regarding room service.
