RN - Off Campus Emergency Department - Union Gap
About The Position
MultiCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Off Campus Emergency Department team in Union Gap. The role provides emergency nursing care using a multidisciplinary approach and supports patient-centered care in a community-based emergency department. Nurses participate in clinical decision-making and work in an environment that emphasizes communication, professional development, and support. The position is 0.9 FTE, working day shifts in 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends. The department requires at least one year of emergency nursing experience; the general requirements also specify two years of full-time RN experience in an ER or comparable experience. New graduate RNs and RNs without ED experience are directed to residency or fellowship opportunities.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement.
- At least one year of emergency nursing experience; the posting also states two years of full-time RN experience in an ER or comparable experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- NRP certification required within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in a specialty area preferred.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost efficiency.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
