RN - Off Campus Emergency Department - Union Gap
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will join MultiCare’s Off Campus Emergency Department team in Union Gap, providing specialized emergency nursing care through a multidisciplinary approach. The role involves working night shifts in 12-hour shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays, at a 0.75 FTE. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making and are supported through open communication, professional development, and a collaborative work environment. MultiCare Off-Campus Emergency Departments provide state-of-the-art, neighborhood-focused emergency care throughout Washington. Experienced physicians, nurses, and clinical teams deliver efficient, compassionate, comprehensive care in community locations.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS and PALS certifications.
- NRP certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Two years of full-time RN experience in an emergency room or comparable experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
