RN - Off Campus Emergency Department - Union Gap
About The Position
MultiCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Off Campus Emergency Department team in Union Gap. The role provides specialized emergency nursing care through a multidisciplinary approach, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. Nurses are supported in participating in clinical decision-making, communicating openly with colleagues, and developing professionally. MultiCare Off-Campus Emergency Departments provide community-based emergency care across Washington. This position is 0.9 FTE, working evening shifts in 12-hour shifts on alternating weekends. The posted pay scale is $41.94–$75.89 USD, with actual pay influenced by skills, experience, certifications, and education and, where applicable, the relevant union pay step.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS and PALS certifications.
- NRP certification required within 90 days of hire.
- At least two years of full-time RN experience in an emergency room or comparable experience. The department-specific section also states a minimum of one year of emergency nursing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in a specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
