About The Position

MultiCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Off Campus Emergency Department team in Union Gap. The RN provides emergency nursing care using specialized training, knowledge, and a multidisciplinary approach. The role is part of a nursing organization focused on shared clinical decision-making, open communication, professional development, and support for nurses. This is a per diem position with a 0.01 FTE, variable shifts, and 12-hour schedules.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• At least one year of emergency nursing experience; the general requirements section also specifies two years of full-time RN experience in an ER or comparable experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications; department-specific requirements state these must be active.
• NRP required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Certification in a specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
• Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost efficiency.
• Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other health care team members.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
