About The Position

The Emergency Services Technician supports patient care and administrative and clinical procedures in collaboration with a team of practitioners. The role helps ensure high-quality health care outcomes and positive patient experiences at a MultiCare Off-Campus Emergency Department. MultiCare’s Off-Campus Emergency Departments provide neighborhood-focused emergency care across Washington, staffed by physicians, nurses, and clinical teams.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Current Washington state certification or licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C, or successful completion of an EMT training course.
MA-P or EMT credential holders must obtain NA-R within 180 days of hire.
CNA, NA-R, or EMT credential holders must obtain MA-P by a date determined by location; the Yakima location does not require MA-P.
Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

Experience within the last three years as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, or EMT in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute-care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by a health care practitioner.
Use critical-thinking skills to maintain a safe, therapeutic, and aesthetic environment.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process, in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the team to improve quality of care and patient experience while reducing costs.
Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
