Per Diem RN - Off Campus Emergency Department - Union Gap
About The Position
MultiCare is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for its Off Campus Emergency Department in Union Gap. The RN provides specialized emergency nursing care using a multidisciplinary approach and the nursing process, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. The role involves organizing and evaluating patient care, collaborating with the nursing team, supporting quality and patient-experience improvements, fostering learning, and advocating for ethical, holistic care for patients from diverse backgrounds. The position is per diem, with an FTE of 0.01, variable shifts, and 12-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- NRP certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency nursing experience is required.
- Two years of full-time RN experience in the ER or comparable experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in a specialty area preferred.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
