About The Position

Corewell Health is hiring an RN or LPN for its Sub Acute Rehab unit at Rehab & Nursing Center-Kentridge. The center has two floors and 164 beds serving long-term care residents and post-acute rehabilitation patients. Units focus on specialties including general rehabilitation, neuro rehabilitation, traumatic brain injuries, and cancer. The center provides integrated services with the goal of delivering compassionate, goal-oriented care that supports residents in living healthy, active lives and achieving the greatest possible independence.

Registered Nurses deliver accountable nursing care in accordance with American Nurses Association professional standards and Michigan law. They use the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—and uphold professional performance standards across ethical and culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.

Licensed Practical Nurses work under the direction of an RN, mid-level provider, or physician and in collaboration with the healthcare team. They contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; inform patients and families about treatments, medications, equipment, and related activities in coordination with the appropriate clinician; and document care in computer-based or written patient records according to guidelines.

The position is part-time, scheduled for 24 hours per week on the day shift from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., with every third weekend. Corewell Health offers up to $7,500 in sign-on bonuses for this opportunity. The Kentridge campus spans 10 acres and includes indoor and outdoor spaces, courtyards, mostly private patient rooms with attached bathrooms and showers, and accessible living and dining areas with menu-based meals.

Requirements

• RN: Associate degree in Nursing.
• RN: Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• RN: AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.
• LPN: High school diploma or equivalent.
• LPN: Completion of an approved nursing program.
