RN - Nursing Supervisor
About The Position
Elderwood at Hamburg is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor to provide clinical leadership during a 12-hour night shift. The supervisor provides clinical oversight, guides and supports nursing staff, and helps ensure coordinated, high-quality care for residents with post-acute, higher-acuity, and complex medical needs. The role combines nursing leadership with continued involvement in direct clinical care and works in partnership with an experienced Director of Nursing and an interdisciplinary clinical team. This is a full-time opportunity scheduled for three shifts per week, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview process. Shift differentials are available. Requirements
- Hold a state license applicable to the state where work is performed and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- At least two years of nursing experience.
- At least one year of experience in a nursing leadership role.
- Current BLS/CPR.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or more advanced level.
Nice To Haves
- Interest or experience in geriatrics.
- Experience with the dementia population is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support nursing staff during the assigned shift.
- Provide clinical guidance and mentoring to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Coordinate resident care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Respond to clinical issues and changing resident needs.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Promote quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and clinical oversight.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Serve as the nursing leader on duty, supporting clinical decision-making and fostering accountability, teamwork, and compassion.
