About The Position

As an RN at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you provide hands-on professional nursing care in collaboration with the health care team. You assess, plan, and treat patients and families; promote physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being; use resources wisely; maintain accurate and complete documentation; and serve as a patient advocate. The role also includes delegation, patient and family education, and administering medications and treatments prescribed by legally authorized persons. Nurses are expected to exercise sound judgment and decision-making in implementing nursing interventions and delegating functions or responsibilities.

RNs on the Medical Unit care for adult and geriatric patients with progressive or intermediate acuity in a fast-paced environment. The position offers leadership support and opportunities for career growth and advanced training. The ideal candidate is adaptable to change, committed to self-directed learning, and a team player.

This is a full-time night position scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 to 7, with rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• Multistate license holders must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
• At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required; ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.
• Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
