The Registered Nurse (RN) uses the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized patient care. This night-shift position is on a 43-bed medical-oncology unit caring for patients from adolescence through older adulthood across medical and surgical specialties, including endocrinology, metabolic care, gastroenterology, and medical telemetry. Staff receive specialized training in urology, oncology, hematology, phase 1 clinical trials, and palliative care, with additional training and support available for administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Specialty certification is encouraged. The RN works independently and collaboratively with a motivated interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients and families. The role supports ongoing collaboration and learning, with nurse residency, onboarding, and training programs designed to promote development throughout an RN's career.
