About The Position
Saint Peter's is seeking a talented, compassionate Registered Nurse to join its Oncology Nursing Unit. The hospital has earned its seventh consecutive Magnet designation and its first Magnet with Distinction designation, recognizing exceptional nursing practices and patient outcomes. The Oncology RN contributes to a collaborative nursing team and provides patient care in accordance with nursing standards and established standards of care. The role is for nights.
Requirements
- Hold a Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey.
- Hold a BSN or obtain one within three years of the hire date.
- Hold BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association.
- Complete an ECG course during clinical orientation.
- Complete national oncology certification during clinical orientation.
- Complete chemotherapy credentialing during clinical orientation.
Nice To Haves
- A BSN is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Contribute positively to the collaborative nursing team.
- Use assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients, as outlined in the Nursing Standards.
- Perform procedures according to established Standards of Care.
- Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy.
- Document all aspects of patient care meticulously.
