About The Position
Saint Peter's is seeking a talented, compassionate registered nurse to join its Oncology Nursing Unit. The hospital has earned its seventh consecutive Magnet designation and its first Magnet with Distinction designation, recognizing exceptional nursing practices and patient outcomes. The Oncology RN contributes to a collaborative nursing team and provides care to assigned patients in accordance with nursing standards and established standards of care. This is a night-shift role.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- BLS certification, as approved by the American Heart Association.
- Complete an ECG course during clinical orientation.
- Complete national oncology certification during clinical orientation.
- Complete chemotherapy credentialing during clinical orientation.
Nice To Haves
- A BSN is preferred; alternatively, it must be obtained within three years of the hire date.
Responsibilities
- Contribute positively to the collaborative nursing team.
- Assess assigned patients' health status in accordance with Nursing Standards.
- Ensure procedures are performed according to established Standards of Care.
- Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy.
- Document all aspects of patient care meticulously.
