RN Hospital Liaison (Sign on Bonus)
About The Position
Brookhaven Hospice is seeking a self-motivated and passionate Hospice RN Clinical Liaison to provide hospital- and medical facility-based outreach in the Bedford and Manchester Hospitals territory. The role focuses on identifying new referral sources and maintaining relationships that increase hospice census and preference for hospice services. The liaison uses clinical knowledge, empathetic communication, and marketing skills to educate referral sources, families, and prospective patients about hospice services, and serves as a hospice resource to referral sources to support excellent patient and customer service.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered registered nurse license.
- At least one year of sales or marketing experience in healthcare.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with key staff, marketing contacts, and clinical staff to ensure a thorough understanding of hospice services.
- Proven ability to generate and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts, including physicians, healthcare professionals, and community agencies.
- Willingness to drive, with reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare.
- One to two years of hospice or palliative care marketing experience.
Responsibilities
- Identify primary decision makers and proactively build positive, productive working relationships with members of the medical community and partners.
- Promote hospice patient care services through regular visits, reflecting the quality of care and the hospice's capabilities.
- Build the hospice brand as the preferred provider in its service area and work toward agency growth and census goals.
- Make regular, planned calls to secure new referrals, build census, and meet established goals with referring physicians, facilities, hospital and skilled nursing facility case managers, discharge planners, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Assist with determining patient eligibility based on hospice knowledge and training, as needed.
- Conduct initial meetings with patients and families to explain hospice services and philosophy and obtain consents for care.
