About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join the hospital-based Emergency Department team at Deaconess Hospital. The RN applies specialized nursing knowledge and training in a multidisciplinary environment, organizing and delivering patient care through the nursing process. Nurses at MultiCare participate in clinical decision-making and are supported in professional development and open communication with colleagues. The position is listed at 0.01 FTE, with varying shifts and 12-hour schedules. The department requires at least one year of Emergency nursing experience. New graduate RNs and RNs without ED experience are directed to apply for a residency or fellowship opportunity.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
At least one year of Emergency nursing experience is required.
Active BLS certification is required.
Active ACLS and PALS certifications are required by the department.
One year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
Certification in a specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
