About The Position
SeaWorld San Diego is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard-working Ride Operator to provide exceptional guest service and deliver thrilling experiences. Ride Operators help ensure guests’ safety and satisfaction while following park safety guidelines and maintaining their assigned area. This is a seasonal Fall/Winter position for applicants aged 18 or older.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong English-language communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to great customer service.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
- Comfort with heights.
- Must successfully pass company-provided and paid American Red Cross certification training, including CPR and AED.
- Ability to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Monitor rides and follow all safety regulations.
- Ensure guests meet ride admission requirements.
- Assist with loading and unloading guests from rides.
- Interact with guests while implementing park safety guidelines.
- Participate in American Red Cross and organizational audit processes.
- Attend in-service meetings and cross-train to work in other park areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned area.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Report unsafe situations.
- Practice safe work habits, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
