About The Position
The Park Prep Ambassador helps maintain clean, safe, and welcoming park and restroom areas at SeaWorld San Diego. The role includes operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, replenishing supplies, organizing storage, and reporting supply needs, concerns, or repairs. Ambassadors also help keep pathways and hand-washing stations clean, manage trash, and support safe, efficient crowd flow through stadiums. They interact with guests, answer questions, direct guests to attractions, complete opening and closing procedures, and assist with park emergencies, including inclement weather. This is a seasonal Fall/Winter position requiring Monday availability.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Monday availability is required.
- Strong team-player skills and commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to pass all necessary training.
- Ability to remain calm, troubleshoot, and make quick decisions in stressful situations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
- Ability to climb ladders and stadium steps and walk on uneven surfaces.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 300 lbs. on a cart with assistance.
- Ability to train on and properly use protective gear.
- Comfort working around water and animals.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Scheduling flexibility.
Nice To Haves
- Valid state driver’s license preferred.
- Bilingual skills highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of restroom and park areas.
- Operate and maintain blow packs, pressure washers, vacuums, fire hoses, and other equipment.
- Stock restroom supplies and maintain and organize the storage closet.
- Notify leadership of needed supplies and report concerns or repair needs in restroom facilities.
- Sweep debris from pathways and scan the landscape for trash.
- Maintain hand-washing stations and change trash bags.
- Ensure safe and efficient line speed and crowd flow through stadiums.
- Interact with guests and answer their questions.
- Complete opening and closing procedures.
- Direct guests to attractions.
- Assist with park emergencies, including inclement weather.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
