About The Position

SeaWorld San Diego is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and hardworking Guest Arrival Ambassador for a seasonal Fall/Winter position. The role facilitates training for ambassadors in their assigned areas or with assigned equipment, using approved SOPs, lesson plans, and other training resources. Training includes certifying, testing, auditing, and documenting ambassadors as required by the Standard Operating Procedures for the relevant area or equipment. The position supports high-quality safety and guest-service training, observes performance and provides ongoing supplemental training, and models daily operational procedures through personal job performance. Compensation is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be a current ambassador within the Guest Arrivals department.
• Must be in good standing, with no written warning or higher level of corrective action.
• Must be able to thoroughly and effectively train new ambassadors in area procedures, safety procedures, and guest service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to set an example for other ambassadors through job performance.
• Understanding of and ability to demonstrate excellent guest-service techniques.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate training using approved SOPs, lesson plans, and other provided resources so ambassadors are prepared to work in assigned areas or with assigned equipment.
• Certify, test, audit, and document ambassador training as required by the Standard Operating Procedures for the assigned area or equipment.
• Ensure ambassadors receive high-quality training in safety and guest service.
• Observe ambassador performance and provide ongoing supplemental training.
• Model daily operations and procedures through personal job performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department management.
