About The Position

SeaWorld San Diego is hiring a seasonal Park Area Ambassador for the fall and winter. Ambassadors help maintain park and restroom cleanliness, support safe and efficient guest movement through stadiums, answer guest questions, direct guests to attractions, and assist with park emergencies, including inclement weather. The role involves using cleaning equipment and protective gear, stocking supplies, completing opening and closing procedures, and working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to pass all necessary training.
• Ability to remain calm, troubleshoot, and make quick decisions in stressful situations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Ability to climb ladders and stadium steps and navigate uneven surfaces.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 300 lbs. on a cart with assistance.
• Ability to train on and properly use protective gear.
• Comfortable working around water and animals.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Scheduling flexibility.

Nice To Haves

• Valid state driver’s license preferred.
• Bilingual skills highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of restroom and park areas.
• Operate and maintain blow packs, pressure washers, vacuums, fire hoses, and other equipment.
• Stock restroom supplies and maintain and organize the storage closet.
• Notify leadership when supplies are needed.
• Report concerns or repair needs in restroom facilities.
• Sweep debris from pathways and scan the landscape for trash.
• Maintain hand-washing stations and change trash bags.
• Ensure safe, efficient line speed and crowd flow through stadiums.
• Interact with guests and answer their questions.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Direct guests to attractions.
• Assist with park emergencies, including inclement weather.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
