RevOps Engineer

demandDrive•Waltham, MA
•$80,000 - $90,000

About The Position

demandDrive is a growth-focused go-to-market agency that helps B2B organizations accelerate pipeline and revenue through integrated sales, marketing, and revenue operations solutions. The agency partners with emerging businesses and enterprise brands to deliver customized programs across sales development, demand generation, digital marketing, website development, CRM optimization, and GTM systems support. The RevOps Engineer owns client CRM engagements end to end, from discovery through blueprint, build, documentation, launch, enablement, and post-launch ROI reporting. The role is approximately 85% client work and 15% internal support for demandDrive’s HubSpot instance. The engineer is assigned clients and directly owns those relationships, leading discovery, designing CRM systems, building and deploying configurations, training users, and supporting clients after launch. The role is focused on building business-aligned CRM foundations, most often in HubSpot, using a CLI-first, repeatable, and version-controlled approach. It includes system architecture, data cleanup and migration, integrations, automation, reporting and attribution, and carefully governed use of AI agents. The engineer also supports demandDrive’s internal sales and marketing teams, maintains internal data and documentation, and pilots new releases and tools. This is a full-time position with a Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule. The work model is hybrid or remote, and the employee must reside in the United States. The position reports to the Sr. RevOps Manager. Salary is $80,000–$90,000, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on HubSpot expertise across Sales Hub and Marketing Hub; experience with Service Hub and Content Hub is ideal.
  • Experience with HubSpot custom objects and association labels, lifecycle-stage architecture, the Lead object and lead pipelines, multi-pipeline deal processes, stage gating, required properties, complex workflows, permissions, teams, portal governance, custom reporting, and dashboards.
  • Daily use of Claude Code beyond using it as a chat window.
  • Experience using command-line tools, including the HubSpot CLI, to build and deploy; experience setting up or building MCP servers that connect Claude to a CRM.
  • Ability to use version control and review agent-generated work before it affects live client data.
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot Data Hub, including data sync, data quality automation, formatting rules, property validation, datasets, and credit consumption.
  • Understanding of HubSpot native enrichment modes and capabilities, realistic match-rate expectations, and when to use native deduplication and cleanup tools versus third-party tools.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot Agent Hub and Agent Builder, including building agents and agentic workflows on live CRM data, configuring triggers and knowledge sources, and testing before publication.
  • Ability to account for AI credit consumption, run limits, and human review for consequential actions; comfort building with Claude and other leading models outside HubSpot and keeping current with changes in the AI landscape.
  • Ability to lead client discovery and scope solutions, communicate timelines clearly, manage scope, and distinguish urgent requests from work that is business critical.
  • Experience building forecasting, closed-won, and operational accountability reporting trusted by leadership.
  • Understanding of attribution models, including first-touch and latest-touch attribution, and how to enforce data capture so reporting is reliable.
  • Comfort with APIs, webhooks, and command-line tools; ability to build integrations or troubleshoot sync issues without relying on a developer.
  • Experience migrating real data into HubSpot from spreadsheets, another CRM, or other sources, including preparing import templates, handling associations, backfilling historical records, and setting expectations about migration limitations.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on Attio or Salesforce experience.
  • Light scripting experience in Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience building custom-coded actions in HubSpot workflows.
  • Experience at a HubSpot Solutions Partner or RevOps consulting firm.
  • HubSpot certifications, especially Architecture, Data Integrations, or Solutions Partner-level credentials.
  • Attio or Salesforce experience, particularly migrations to or from HubSpot.
  • Experience building MCP servers, Claude Code skills, or HubSpot developer projects.
  • Experience with Zapier, n8n, or Make for connecting systems that HubSpot does not natively reach.
  • Familiarity with compliance-adjacent constraints such as SOC 2, CMMC, and HIPAA and how they affect CRM use.
  • Active participation in HubSpot or RevOps communities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery and working sessions with client stakeholders across sales, marketing, sales engineering, and post-sale delivery to document processes, data sources, and gaps and translate goals into actionable next steps.
  • Prioritize business-critical client requests and focus work on changes that can affect pipeline and revenue.
  • Create and present client build blueprints covering object models, lifecycle stages, pipeline design, property architecture, automation logic, and reporting plans; obtain sign-off before configuration begins.
  • Architect and build CRM foundations, primarily in HubSpot, including properties, record and object customization, forms, lifecycle and status frameworks, the Lead object, routing and assignment logic, and multi-pipeline deal processes.
  • Use Claude Code, the HubSpot CLI, and MCP servers to script configuration, migrations, and integrations in a faster, version-controlled, repeatable manner.
  • Run data consolidation, deduplication, standardization, and migration projects; implement enrichment and data quality automation.
  • Design attribution models and build reporting and dashboard infrastructure for leadership forecasting, considering reporting from the beginning of the build.
  • Build and configure AI solutions using Claude Code, MCP-connected agents, HubSpot Breeze agents, Agent Builder, and Breeze Assistant, with appropriate governance and guardrails.
  • Deliver recorded training, written documentation, client administrator enablement, and post-launch support during the first weeks of use.
  • Document each client’s HubSpot instance, including its object model, properties, automation logic, and integrations.
  • Track and report post-launch ROI against business goals established during discovery.
  • Scope change orders and retainer expansions honestly and advise clients when work should be deferred.
  • Execute internal HubSpot builds and projects aligned with demandDrive’s strategy, including requests from internal teams.
  • Maintain demandDrive’s data, reporting, automation, and instance documentation.
  • Pilot new HubSpot releases, MCP servers, and AI tools internally before recommending them to clients.
