RevOps Consultant

Operatus

About The Position

Operatus is hiring a remote RevOps Consultant to support two to four client accounts at a time, performing hands-on work that keeps clients’ revenue operations running. The consultant gathers requirements, configures Salesforce, builds trusted reports, and manages the weekly client cadence. On larger accounts, the consultant executes a workstream under an architect who owns the roadmap and data model; when serving as the primary resource, the consultant leads the engagement with architect oversight. Reporting and analytics are a central focus. The consultant works with sales, marketing, customer success, and finance leaders to define consistent business measures, analyze revenue processes and performance, and explain findings and recommendations to client leadership. The role also includes process design, data hygiene, client relationship management, scoping and estimating work, mentoring, and developing reusable templates and playbooks. The consultant will initially join four established client accounts, each with an architect already on the team. During the first 60 days, they will also build reusable reporting templates and metric definitions for use across accounts. Successful consultants may progress toward Architect roles, leading larger engagements, owning data models, and helping shape how Operatus sells and delivers RevOps work. Operatus is targeting a January start and asks applicants to provide their earliest available date. Applicants must currently live in North America (US or Canada).

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in RevOps, Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, or Salesforce administration.
  • Hands-on Salesforce configuration experience, including Flow, validation rules, formula fields, and record types, plus an understanding of security and sharing.
  • Deep Salesforce reporting and dashboard experience, including comfort with the data model, custom report types, and joined and summary reports.
  • Working understanding of the full revenue cycle, including lead management, pipeline and forecasting, renewals and expansion, and coordination among sales, marketing, customer success, and finance.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, including communication with executives.
  • Experience running discovery, writing requirements, and estimating one's own work.
  • Hands-on Salesforce data loading, deduplication, and backfill experience, including experience with tooling and matching logic.
  • A track record of using reporting or analysis to change a business decision; applicants will be asked to provide an example.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification.
  • Currently living in North America (US or Canada).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a client-facing consulting role.
  • Experience managing 3–4 client accounts simultaneously and leading at least one engagement with only light senior oversight.

  • SQL and experience with a BI tool such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or CRM Analytics.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.

  • Manage client working sessions, status, priorities, and expectations, and raise risks to the architect or delivery lead early.
  • Work with sales, marketing, customer success, and finance leaders to define decision-focused measures, establish consistent metric definitions, and retire unnecessary measures.
  • Design and build Salesforce reports, custom report types, and dashboards; use spreadsheets, SQL, or BI tools for analysis beyond Salesforce reporting capabilities.
  • Analyze revenue funnels, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy, and identify where revenue is leaking between stages and teams.
  • Present findings to client leadership in plain language, explaining what changed, why it changed, what the data does and does not show, and recommended actions.
  • Run discovery with client stakeholders and translate findings into requirements and solution designs for the assigned work.
  • Assess and redesign lead management and routing, opportunity stages and exit criteria, forecasting cadence, and marketing-to-sales-to-customer-success handoffs.
  • Lead the client relationship, engagement plan, and weekly review when serving as the primary resource; on larger accounts, lead execution of an assigned roadmap workstream under an architect.
  • Help scope and estimate RevOps work, mentor admins and analysts on reporting, and create reusable templates and playbooks.
  • On initial accounts, deliver Salesforce configuration, reporting, and day-to-day client work; build reusable reporting templates and metric definitions during the first 60 days.
