About the position
The job overview for this position is that Connect Homes is seeking an Architectural Revit Modeler to assist with the implementation of BIM technology and research & development. The role involves working closely with the Design and Shop teams to ensure projects are utilizing appropriate workflows and managing Revit files effectively. The Architectural Revit Modeler will also provide technical knowledge and training, maintain design templates and standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. A bachelor's degree in an architectural related field is required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the upkeep and implementation of the BIM Standards within the Design and Shops team.
- Provide the Design and Shop team the necessary technical knowledge to maximize features in Revit and help resolve day to day technical issues.
- Maintain the Design Template Models, be it Drawings and Families Standards.
- Provides Revit software training for staff and monitors staff Revit experience levels.
- Assists in maintaining the Work-sharing workflow within the Design Models.
- Assists in the monitoring of the models for quality and content throughout the project delivery process and at specific project delivery milestones.
- Help maintain and provide regular upkeep on the File sharing Cloud base platform for the 3D models.
- Document and communicate best practices and workflows for Revit.
- Support the interoperability effort between multiple software applications.
- When working with others collaborate as a team player.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an architectural related field; professional architectural degree or master's degree
- Upkeep and implementation of BIM Standards within the Design and Shops team

- Bachelor's degree in an architectural related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural design development and construction documentation
- General knowledge of integrated architectural and engineering practices
- Intermediate to advanced level knowledge with Autodesk Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks, and Microsoft applications
- Intermediate to advanced level knowledge with writing Python, C#, .NET, DesignScript, or other applicable scripting languages
- Intermediate to advanced level knowledge with the Revit API
- Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, and communication skills
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience with residential product types preferred
- Experience with BIM360 (BIM Collaborate Pro) preferred
