About The Position

As a Retail Team Member at Maverik, you will help create an exceptional experience for customers by providing customer service, preparing food, keeping the store clean and stocked, and supporting the team wherever needed. The role is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and involves working in a fast-paced, changing environment. Team Members are expected to demonstrate Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer, prepare recipes, maintain clean and appealing food displays, and adapt to changing situations. Stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may be needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Schedule flexibility, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler Permit, if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transition between roles, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain food displays.
• Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customers.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
• Help keep the store running smoothly and support the team where needed.
