Retail Team Member
About The Position
As a Retail Team Member at Maverik, you will help create an exceptional customer experience by serving customers, preparing fresh food, keeping the store looking its best, and supporting the team. The position is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and involves moving between customer service, stocking supplies, and maintaining food displays. The listed schedule is Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Maverik stores operate 24/7, and scheduling may include nights, weekends, and holidays. The role offers a starting pay of $15.54–$17.54 per hour. Requirements
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in 24/7 stores.
- Obtain a food handler permit if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
- Meet the physical requirements of frequent standing, walking, handling, horizontal reaching, reaching above shoulder level and below the waist, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing; the role may require lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Transition between roles, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain appealing food displays.
- Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customer use.
- Adapt to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
- Help keep the store running smoothly and assist wherever needed.
