About The Position

As a Retail Team Member at Maverik, you’ll help create an exceptional experience for every customer. The role is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and involves preparing food, assisting customers, keeping the store clean and stocked, and supporting the team wherever needed. Team Members deliver Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer-service behaviors, adapt to changing situations, and work in a fast-paced environment. Stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may be needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Able to multitask and transition between responsibilities.
• Flexible schedule; stores operate 24/7, and work may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler Permit, if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing, and potentially lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work safely with high-temperature equipment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by consistently demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors.
• Transition between roles, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain food displays.
• Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure displays are clean and ready for customer use.
• Adapt to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain the store and help keep operations running smoothly.
• Work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
