Retail Team Member
About The Position
As a Retail Team Member at Maverik, you’ll help create an exceptional experience for every customer. The role is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and involves preparing food, assisting customers, keeping the store clean and stocked, maintaining food displays, and supporting the team wherever needed. Team Members demonstrate Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors and adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment. Stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting pay is $17.36–$19.36 per hour. Full- and part-time opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Hardworking and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to multitask and adapt to changing needs.
- Flexible schedule; stores operate 24/7, with potential night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Food Handler Permit, if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
- Able to safely work with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including frequent standing, walking, handling, and reaching; bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing; and lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by consistently demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors.
- Transition between roles, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain appealing food displays.
- Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customers.
- Adapt quickly to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
- Keep the store running smoothly and assist wherever needed.
