Retail Team Member
About The Position
The Retail Team Member creates an exceptional experience for customers by providing customer service, preparing food, maintaining food displays, stocking supplies, and keeping the store running smoothly. The role is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and requires adapting to changing needs in a fast-paced environment. Team Members demonstrate Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer. The schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays because Maverik stores operate 24/7. A Food Handler Permit is required if applicable to the store, county, or jurisdiction. The role involves working safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Schedule flexibility, including potentially working nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Handler Permit, if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
- Ability to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by consistently demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors.
- Transition between roles, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain appealing food displays.
- Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customer use.
- Adapt to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
- Help keep the store running smoothly and assist wherever needed.
