Retail Team Member
About The Position
As a Retail Team Member at Maverik, you’ll help create an exceptional experience for every customer. The role is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and involves preparing food, assisting customers, maintaining the store, and supporting the team. Team Members deliver Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer-service behaviors, transition between tasks, keep food displays clean and ready, and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment. Stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may be needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting pay is $13.58–$15.58 per hour.
Requirements
- Hardworking and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to multitask and transition between tasks.
- Flexible schedule availability, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 stores.
- Food Handler Permit if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
- Able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position, including frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and lifting, carrying, or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by consistently demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors.
- Transition between roles and tasks, including engaging customers, stocking supplies, and maintaining food displays.
- Prepare Maverik recipes and keep displays clean and ready for customer use.
- Adapt quickly to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
- Help keep the store running smoothly and contribute wherever needed.
