About The Position

The Retail Team Member helps create an exceptional customer experience at Maverik by delivering customer service, preparing fresh food, maintaining food displays, stocking supplies, and keeping the store running smoothly. The role is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store, requires adapting to changing situations in a fast-paced environment, and offers opportunities to learn skills and grow within the company. Stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
• Have schedule flexibility, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have a food handler permit if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
• Be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Meet the physical requirements of frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing, and lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by consistently demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer.
• Transition between roles, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain appealing food displays.
• Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customer use.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
• Help keep the store running smoothly and assist wherever needed.
